Program Overview

The Ameren BizSavers program gives businesses access to improved energy efficiency by encouraging properties to make upgrades to lighting systems and controls. Eligible properties that participate can make affordable energy efficiency improvements that lower costs, increase comfort and safety, reduce maintenance, enhance aesthetic appeal and improve the customer experience when at your property.

Opportunity

Tri-City YMCA is a gymnasium and community center doing business in Osage Beach, Missouri. Tri-City YMCA enlisted Aleo Prime to look for energy and maintenance savings opportunities for their mixed-use commercial facility. Their property faced several challenges including poorly lit spaces where task lighting is required, high electricity bills, finding the right LED foot candles for compliance with OSHA, and burnt-out bulbs and ballasts causing maintenance issues. The original lighting included a mix of T12/T8 fluorescent, and Halogen R30. Because of inefficient equipment throughout their building, Tri-City YMCA was losing money to energy waste and maintenance.
